Patient Testimonials

Michaud Periodontics & Dental Implants is one of Tampa's best when it comes to total dental care. What sets them apart from the rest is the quality of the staff Dr. Michaud has put together. They are people oriented and make you feel at home. There were no hidden surprises, which demonstrates their competence. I highly recommend this dental practice, they are an example of what is good in the Tampa Bay area.

I was introduced to Dr. Michaud and his lovely wife Joey while getting my routine periodontal cleaning. At the time I was wearing a partial bridge when Dr. Michaud had asked me if I would consider implants. I was interested but a little afraid of the whole process. After much thoughtful consideration I decided to go through with it. I can't express how thankful I am to Dr. Michaud and Joey for making me feel comfortable through this entire process. It has truly been a life changing experience because I was always self conscious about my teeth, I never wanted to smile or even laugh however now, I am very secure in who I am. I am able to laugh, smile, and speak in front of people with confidence and for that I will be forever grateful to the both of them. I would highly recommend Dr. Michaud for any periodontal or implant procedures.

I have been a periodontal patient since the 1980s. Due to what is now known to be a contributing cause of periodontal disease, genetics and bruxism (tooth grinding), at that time the extent of the periodontal disease was a shock due to my relatively young age (mid 30s) and care given to my teeth as I faithfully saw a dentist twice annually and followed all dental recommendations. At that time, the only recourse available was surgery. The surgery was successful, but painful. Since I was young, my recovery was routine, but it still took many weeks to months for my mouth to recover. Flash forward to 2010. At that point most of my back teeth had root canals and crowns due to the bruxism and I had lost a tooth due to fracture. Dr. Michaud informed me that it was again time to treat my mouth and he recommended laser surgery. I am extremely pleased to report that this surgery was significantly less painful and the recovery period was very short. In addition, my mouth feels better. Although I lost another tooth due to fracture, totally unrelated to periodontics, I fully recommend laser treatment to anyone who is a candidate.
